I spent my youth under the coconuts trees bouncing between the French Riviera and the Caribbean where my father works as a painter.
Very young, I was already in the water, playing with the waves and diving . I started surfing very young; as I was very interest about all water – related sports like fish diving, surfing, wakeboarding, etc …
My first time on a kite was in 1999 at the beginning of the sport, my uncle initiate me on a 3m foil kite. I enjoyed it so much that he felt obliged to leave me practicing with that kite.
Every day, I had only one thing in mind and right after school I was heading directly to the beach to fly it.
But it wasn’t enough, I wanted to use the power of the kite on the water but I didn’ t have enough money to buy the complete gear which was very expensive at the time.
I decided to take things in my own hands and started playing around with big funboards and surfboards.
The kite was unfortunately too small and the money being an obstacle to purchase some gear, I decided to build my first inflatable kite with the advice from my uncle who was working in a sail repair shop and the sewing machine of my grand mother.
I spent over 3 month to build it on my own, I was around 14 years old… and the kite was flying, it was a copy of the first Naish AR 3.5 7 m.
Gerome Caillet the Shaper from Radical gave me one of his old directional board; I could then kite for real
In 2003 I started my first competition and I won my first contests in Martinique, and became Caribbean champion.
In may 2004 after my final school exam, I decided to start medical studies to find out I was more suited to travel the world and spend more time on the water than at the university.
I started to train a lot, went to Dominican republic to become an IKO instructor which gave me the opportunity to work, make enough money to live and kite a maximum.
I had the chance to compete in various world competition around the globe and started to get enough cash from my sponsors to live out of kiteboarding.
During those years of kiting I started to show interest in photography, video and movie editing.
Traveling around the world I try to get as many pictures and videos as possible and share them in the kite magazines or website.
I recently opened my first JT Pro Center kitesurfing school in the Caribbean on the beautiful island of Union island. www.kitesurfgrenadines.com
